Joe Fielden

Experience
As the President and CEO, Fielden is the driving force behind a firm that consistently finishes projects on time and within budget. This is evidenced by such a high number of repeat clients. And Fielden has been there every step of the way, having in one way or another played a part in all J.A. Fielden projects over the years.
With over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Fielden brings a vast amount of knowledge and expertise to every job the firm undertakes, while continually striving to exceed customer expectations.
Education
Fielden is a 1976 graduate of the University of Tennessee and has a degree in Real Estate and Urban Development.

He and his wife of 24 years are the proud parents of four grown children, continuing to balance work, play and marriage. |

Mark Williamson
“Our expectations of our work exceed the client’s expectations."
Experience
Williamson has been in the construction industry for 18 years, while serving 15 of those years with Fielden.
He serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Corporate Secretary handling all fiscal matters and working with the home office staff on a daily basis.
Education and Training
He received his degree from the University of Tennessee in 1981 and is a licensed CPA in the State of Tennessee.
Off the Job
When not at work, Williamson enjoys spending time with his wife and their three teenagers (ages 13, 15 & 19). He also serves as Chairman of Fountain City Town Hall.

Sam Sutton
“A reasonable and fair person to deal with."
Experience
Currently serving as Vice President of J.A. Fielden, Sutton brings over 37 years of experience to the job, including 15 of those years with Fielden. He has worked on projects all over the country, from Maryland to Texas. He has been a part of a number of varied jobs including:
- Wal-Mart Supercenter
- Wal-Mart Garden Center
- Sam’s Club
- Applewood Village Shopping Center - Fremont, OH
- Sam Houston State University Stadium – Texas
- Brenham Junior High School Addition/Renovation – Texas
- St. Margaret’s Hospital Addition/Renovation - Alabama
Education and Training
Sutton attended the University of Alabama and the Raymond J. Horn School of Drafting. In addition, he has received OSHA training.

He and his wife are the proud parents of eight children.

Blaise Burch

Experience
As the Vice President of Business Development and one of the newest members of the Fielden team, Blaise Burch brings over 24 years of experience to the job. Although he is new to Fielden, he is not new to area. He has worked on and completed a number of projects in East Tennessee.

Burch is a graduate of the University of Tennessee’s College of Business as well as Palm Beach Community College.
He is a licensed contractor in both Tennessee and Florida and has received training in variety of areas and programs, including:
- Dave Buster’s School for General Contracting
- Goldcoast School of Florida Real Estate
- ESRI Courses on Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- National Institute of Golf Management School
Off the Job
Burch is a member of a number of local civic organizations including:
- First Tee Foundation
- Three Ridges Greens Committee
- Knox County ADA Committee
- First Tee of Williams Creek
He also serves as an advisor to the Finance Committee of the Great Smoky Mountains – Boy Scouts of America.
Burch and his wife, Polly, have three sons – Andrew, Adam and Alex.

David Gardner

Experience
As a Senior Project Manager with Fielden, Gardner is directly responsible for managing multiple projects and personnel to ensure projects are completed within budget and schedule. While at Fielden, Gardner has implemented new procedures and programs to restructure the operations department thereby promoting better organization and document control to maximize time and effort being spent by all operations personnel.
He is completing his third year with Fielden after having worked with Myrick Gurosky & Associates, Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama for nearly seven years. While there he served as project manager and was responsible for managing all aspects of the design and construction to ensure that the quality, budget and schedule met or exceeded the expectations of the clients.

Education and Training
Gardner is a 1996 graduate of Chilton County High School in Clanton Alabama, and attended George C. Wallace Community College in Selma, Alabama.
He is a Certified Storm Water Professional in the state of Virginia, as well as Tennessee and for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Gardner has also received a Certificate of Training in both Primavera SureTrak Scheduling and Primavera Expedition Management Software.

Gardner and his wife Jennifer have two daughters, Mallory and Emma Grace; and one son, Brady. They are members of Halls Christian Church.

David Sutton

With over 22 years in the construction industry, Sutton has been with J.A. Fielden for nearly 4 years and is currently serving as a Project Manager. He has worked on a number of projects across the southeast, including:

Off the Job
Sutton and his wife, Traci, have one daughter, Ashley, who is 20 years old. They also have two dogs, Jasper (5) and Sir Dante Cooper (6).

Shane Smith
Experience
Shane, a Project Coordinator, has been with J.A. Fielden 1.5 years while having been in the construction industry for over 10 years. He has worked on a number of projects in the Knoxville area and around the southeast including:

- Wal-Mart Supercenter – Lynn Haven, FL
- Wal-Mart Remodel – Bristol, TN
- Earth Fare Renovation – Knoxville, KY
- Wal-Mart Sitework – Lynchburg, VA
- Knoxville Catholic Field House – Knoxville, TN
Education and Training
Shane graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2007 with a B.S. in Construction Management. While in school, he completed 2 years of cooperative education while working on University Projects including the University of Cincinnati’s Power Plant Expansion, University of Cincinnati’s Medical Facilities Expansion and the University of Dayton’s Chemistry Lab Renovation.

Shane enjoys all outdoor activities including hiking, camping, fishing and hunting. He and his wife Melony are proud parents-to-be of twin girls.
